Logistics & Carriers¶
The Logistics & Carriers section allows you to connect third-party shipping providers and manage how orders are shipped from your store. By integrating logistics partners, you can automate shipping, tracking, and fulfillment workflows.
Logistics Carrier Setup¶
Each logistics carrier represents a third-party shipping service connected to your store (for example, Shiprocket or other aggregators).
From this page, you can:
- Connect a logistics provider account
- Manage authentication credentials
- Assign warehouses to the carrier
- Activate or deactivate the carrier at any time
Connect Your Logistics Account¶
To start using a logistics provider, you must connect your existing carrier account.
Required details¶
- Email – Registered email ID with the logistics provider
- Password – Account password or API credential (as required)
- Webhook Token – Secure token used to receive order and tracking updates
These credentials are stored securely and used only to communicate with the carrier’s API.
How to connect¶
- Go to Settings → Logistics carriers
- Select a carrier or add a new one
- Enter the required credentials
- Click Save to connect your account
Once connected, the carrier becomes available for shipping operations.
Webhooks & Tracking Updates¶
Webhook integration enables real-time updates from the logistics provider.
What webhooks handle¶
- Shipment creation confirmation
- Tracking status updates
- Delivery, RTO, and cancellation events
Why it matters¶
- Keeps order status in sync automatically
- Reduces manual tracking
- Improves customer communication
Logistics Carrier Warehouse¶
Warehouses define the pickup locations used by the logistics provider.
What you can do¶
- Link a carrier to a specific warehouse
- Choose where orders are picked up from
- Manage multiple warehouses if supported
How it works¶
- Orders are assigned to the selected warehouse
- Pickup and shipping labels are generated accordingly
- Carrier rates may vary based on warehouse location
Activate or Deactivate Carrier¶
Each carrier can be enabled or disabled as needed.
Use cases¶
- Temporarily stop shipping via a carrier
- Switch between providers during downtime
- Test a carrier before going live
Deactivated carriers will not appear during fulfillment or shipping selection.
Best Practices¶
- Verify credentials before activating a carrier
- Always configure a warehouse before fulfilling orders
- Enable webhooks to ensure accurate tracking
- Test shipment creation with a sample order
- Keep carrier accounts active and funded
Security Notes¶
- Credentials are encrypted and stored securely
- Webhook tokens prevent unauthorized updates
- Carrier access can be revoked anytime by deactivation
