Shipping & Delivery

Shipping and delivery settings control how customers receive their orders and how shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
To allow customers to complete checkout, at least one shipping or pickup option must be configured.

Overview

From this section, you can:

  • Define where you ship and how much you charge
  • Control delivery timelines shown to customers
  • Enable or disable local pickup
  • Prevent checkout issues caused by missing shipping options

If no shipping or pickup method is active, customers will see a checkout error.

Shipping Rates

Shipping rates determine where you ship and how shipping fees are calculated at checkout.

General Shipping Rates

General shipping rates apply to all products in your store unless overridden by product-specific rules.

You can:

  • Set flat shipping rates
  • Define region-based shipping zones
  • Control which countries or locations you ship to

If no shipping rates are configured, customers will not be able to place orders.

Status indicator: - No shipping rates for customers to choose from → Action required

Use Manage to add or update shipping rates.

Processing Time

Processing time defines how long it takes you to prepare an order before it is shipped.

When enabled:

  • Delivery dates are shown more accurately to customers
  • Processing time is added to the shipping transit time
  • Helps reduce delivery expectation issues

You should enable processing time if you typically ship orders within 2 business days or less.

Local Pickup

Local pickup allows nearby customers to collect their orders directly from your location instead of shipping.

You can:

  • Enable or disable pickup per location
  • Display pickup availability during checkout
  • Offer pickup as a free or paid option

If local pickup is disabled, customers will not see it as a checkout option.

Checkout Impact

Your store cannot accept orders unless one of the following is active: - At least one shipping rate
- Local pickup enabled

A warning banner will appear until this requirement is met.

Best Practices

  • Always configure shipping rates before launching your store
  • Use clear processing times to set accurate delivery expectations
  • Enable local pickup if you serve nearby customers
  • Review shipping settings whenever you add new markets or regions

Troubleshooting

Customers can’t check out - Ensure at least one shipping rate or pickup option is active

Shipping options not showing - Verify shipping zones include the customer’s location - Check if products are eligible for shipping

Incorrect delivery dates - Review processing time settings - Confirm carrier transit times

Next Steps

  • Configure Taxes & Duties
  • Set up Logistics Carriers
  • Review Checkout Settings

Once shipping is configured, your store is ready to accept orders smoothly.
