Ranges¶
Ranges help you group and organize products into logical collections for merchandising, discovery, and automation.
They can be managed manually or created dynamically using rules.
Overview¶
From the Ranges section, you can:
- Create product collections (ranges)
- Group products manually or automatically
- Apply rules to include future products automatically
- Display ranges on storefronts for better navigation
Ranges are similar to collections and are ideal for campaigns, seasonal sets, or curated lists.
Ranges Listing¶
The Ranges list shows all ranges created in your store.
Columns Explained¶
Title¶
- Name of the range
- Shown in storefronts and internal listings
Products¶
- Number of products currently included in the range
- Updates automatically for automated ranges
Product Conditions¶
- Shows the rule logic used (for automated ranges)
- Manual ranges display no conditions
Type¶
- Manual – Products added individually
- Automated – Products added based on rules
Search & Filters¶
You can:
- Search ranges by title
- Filter by range type (Manual or Automated)
- Sort ranges based on creation or name
Creating a Range¶
Click Add range to create a new range.
Range Information¶
Title¶
- Name your range clearly
- Example:
Monsoon Picks under ₹100,Staff Favorites
Description¶
- Optional description for internal reference or storefront display
- Supports rich text formatting
Media¶
- Upload a banner or cover image for the range
- Supported formats: PNG, JPG, GIF
- Max file size: 10MB
Media improves visual merchandising on storefronts.
Range Type¶
Manual Range¶
- Products are added one by one
- Best for curated or fixed collections
- No automatic product inclusion
Automated Range¶
- Products are added automatically based on rules
- Existing and future products that match conditions are included
- Ideal for dynamic collections
Rule Set (Automated Ranges)¶
Rules define which products belong to the range.
Rule Logic¶
- All rules – Product must match every condition
- Any rule – Product must match at least one condition
Conditions¶
Each condition includes:
- Product attribute (e.g. name, category, tag, price)
- Operator (equals, contains, greater than, etc.)
- Value
You can add multiple conditions using Add more condition.
Saving a Range¶
- Click Save to create or update the range
- Products are evaluated instantly
- Automated ranges update continuously as products change
Best Practices¶
- Use automated ranges for large catalogs
- Use manual ranges for curated promotions
- Keep range titles short and descriptive
- Use media for featured storefront collections
- Review automated rules regularly
Common Issues & Fixes¶
No products showing in automated range
- Verify rule conditions
- Check rule logic (All vs Any)
Unexpected products included
- Review overlapping rules
- Tighten condition criteria
Manual range not updating
- Ensure products are added explicitly
- Save changes after edits
