Shipping Zones¶
Shipping zones let you group delivery locations and apply different shipping rules to each group.
What is a shipping zone?¶
A shipping zone is a geographic area where the same shipping rates and rules apply.
Examples:
- Local (within city)
- Domestic (within country)
- International (specific countries or regions)
Creating shipping zones¶
When creating a zone, you can define:
- Countries
- States or regions
- Pin codes or postal codes (if supported)
Each order is matched to a shipping zone based on the customer’s delivery address.
Why zones are important¶
- Control shipping costs by region
- Offer different delivery options
- Prevent shipping to unsupported locations
Best practices¶
- Keep zones simple and clearly defined
- Avoid overlapping zones
- Test checkout using addresses from different zones
