When to use manual shipping¶
- Local deliveries
- In-house delivery teams
- Custom courier partners
- International shipping via third parties
How manual shipping works¶
- Order is marked ready to ship
- Seller ships the order externally
- Tracking details are added manually (optional)
- Order status is updated to shipped
Tracking for manual shipping¶
You can optionally:
- add a tracking number
- add a courier name
- share tracking link with customers
Best practices¶
- Keep delivery timelines realistic
- Update order status promptly
- Inform customers clearly if tracking is unavailable
