Profile

The Profile section lets you manage your personal account settings, security preferences, notification consent, and active sessions. These settings apply to your user account, not to a specific store.

Accessing Your Profile

  1. Log in to your Shoptsy dashboard
  2. Click on your profile avatar in the top-right corner
  3. Select Profile

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add an extra layer of security to your account by enabling two-factor authentication.

Google Two-Factor Authentication

  • Uses Google Authenticator or compatible apps
  • Requires a verification code during login
  • Strongly recommended for store owners and admins

How to enable: 1. Toggle Set Up Google Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) 2. Follow the on-screen instructions 3. Scan the QR code using your authenticator app 4. Confirm setup with the generated code

Enabling 2FA significantly improves account security.

Notification Preferences

Control how you receive marketing-related communications from Shoptsy.

Available Options

  • Marketing Emails – Receive product updates, tips, and announcements
  • SMS Marketing Messages – Receive promotional text messages

You can enable or disable these options at any time.

Transactional messages such as order alerts or security notifications are sent regardless of marketing preferences.

Activity & Sessions

View and manage your active login sessions.

Session Details Include:

  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • Location
  • Last active time
  • Session status (Active)

Logout from a Session

  • Click Logout next to an active session to end it immediately

This is useful if you: - Logged in from a shared device - Suspect unauthorized access - Want to secure your account remotely

Best Practices

  • Enable 2FA for all admin and staff accounts
  • Regularly review active sessions
  • Log out from devices you no longer use
  • Keep notification preferences updated
